With years of retail experience in the West Hollywood design district, Modern Resale founders, Sarah Whipple and Stacia Vinar began to realize that there was an available supply of quality pieces of design that were not longer of use to first market users. With the knowledge that many connoisseurs including designers architects and collectors appreciate the lasting value and integrity of historically relevant furniture from the modernist lineage but could not afford it, Modern Resale was born. Staring from storage units, Modern resale now has an active on-line store and over 5000 square feet of warehouse space. Recently, Modern Resale has increased its inventory by partnering with retailers who wish to make room of new merchandise by letting go of pieces that no longer work for them.
